Professional coaching services are available at $65/hour. 

WEX writing coaches provide substantive writing support and consultation for the writing of a thesis/dissertation and/or professional material (e.g., website content, book manuscripts, journal articles). This professional writing support guides writers in any stage of the writing process, including early outlining of ideas, developing content, organizing ideas, revising for greater clarity, line editing for format and grammar, and final revision for readability.

WEX coaches are experts in writing and have PhDs, so they understand the challenges of writing dissertations and academic articles. You can submit a draft of your writing project and/or request a consultation to define writing goals and support. 

Once payment is received, WEX will contact you and introduce you to your coach. WEX does not offer refunds of payments for any proofreading, editing, or coaching services; any credit balance may be used for future WEX submissions. WEX expects clients to notify their coaches before 24 hours for any changes to appointments. Cancellations of scheduled appointments without the required 24 hour notice may incur the hourly charge.

You can submit a draft of whatever writing project you want help with and/or consult with a coach to define your writing goals and support. You may begin with one hour and take it from there, or you might want to schedule a month of meetings to keep the momentum going. Whatever you decide, we're here to help you.

Most manuscripts/proposals/theses/dissertations consume over 5 hours of review, and we recommend that you submit a deposit of $275 for 5 hours; however, you may opt to start with less time for shorter projects (minimum is 1 hour).

• Development Editing to help with structure and content development of your project. Whether it's a novel or an academic project, editors will provide feedback to tighten the plot structure and characterization or support you in identifying the key components for content development of academic texts. This service is best accompanied with a minimum of 1 hour coaching. 
• Light proofreading to correct typos, grammar and punctuation, and other minor errors at the sentence level. This is best done on a completed manuscript/dissertation when major revisions are no longer likely.
• Format/Style Editing to adjust the formatting of your document according to a specific format and style sheet. This format editing is best accomplished with a final draft of the manuscript. All content, including in-text citations, should be in place before requesting this service. 
• Combined Proofreading and Format Editing: a completed dissertation/manuscript benefits from a  complete examination of format and proofreading to ensure that what is submitted is a polished finalized text. 

Should the initial deposit not cover the requested work, WEX will contact you to decide next steps (approving additional time to complete the work or returning the documents at that point). If additional time is approved, WEX will invoice you for the difference. WEX does not offer refunds for any of its services, so any remaining balances may be used for future WEX submissions.

WEX editors provide excellent services at a reasonable $45 per-hour rate. Most manuscripts/theses/dissertations that are approximately 200 pages take about 5 hours to review, and we recommend a deposit of $225 for 5 hours. If your dissertation is well over 200 pages and you know it needs substantial edits throughout, please submit for 10 hours.

Pricing and Payments. Regardless of the services requested, all are charged the same hourly rate. 

• All WEX services are on a prepaid basis. A deposit must be received before services will rendered. Additional charges will be billed to the student prior to completion of the editing.
• Documents longer than 10 pages require a two hour deposit.
• Documents shorter than 10 pages require a one hour deposit.
• Clients understand that the deposit is to initiate the editing transaction and that they are responsible for full payment of the contracted work, understanding that documents can consume more than the deposited amount. 

In the event that a project takes less time than expected, you will be issued a credit balance that may be applied to future WEX services. Please note that that WEX does not offer refunds for proofreading, editing, or coaching services.

The hourly rate is $40. We recommend a deposit for 5 hours for manuscripts around 200 pages; however, if your dissertation is more or less than 200 pages, you are welcome to submit for more or less hours (minimum is 1 hour). Should the dissertation require more time, WEX will contact you about further costs. 

This service is restricted to Antioch University students who have completed the first program format review of their dissertation by the Writers' Exchange (WEX). WEX editors will correct your entire manuscript with the exception of those areas that only the student can correct; such as, missing references and missing/incorrect in-text citations. Corrections are generally completed edit within one week (5 business days), but there is a "rush" option for an additional fee should you need your document corrected within 4 business days. 

If interested, please upload both the final Word document and the WEX reviewed PDF of your dissertation and any other relevant documents (e.g., a Word document listing all missing information identified by the previous editor [citations & references]).
